:: Central Records

Central Records is responsible for the maintenance of data of the Greater Sudbury Police Service records management system, records contributed to the Canadian Police Information Centre, information gathering, processing and dissemination. The Branch is also responsible for the administration of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act , Firearms legislation and maintaining central repository for all active and inactive operational records.

Assisting members of the public with information for insurance purposes and criminal record searches, reception and switchboard duties for the Service is handled by staff in Central Records.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. � 5:00 p.m. (excluding Statutory Holidays)

The forms provided on line are for your convenience. Forms that are more than 1 page in length must be printed as a two-sided document (i.e. page 1 & 2 on one sheet). Completed forms must be delivered personally and payment is obligatory at the time of the request. Two (2) pieces of identification with full name, date of birth, address and signature (i.e. driver's licence, birth certificate, passport) is required at the time of the request.

Forms received by way of fax or email will not be accepted

Paid Duty Administration Fee 10% of total paid duty contract.
*Notwithstanding Section 4 of By-Law 2009-3, paid duty rates shall be adjusted in accordance with the collective agreement between the Board and the Sudbury Police Association in effect at the time of the paid duty assignment and not the Consumer Price Index.  A minimum three (3) hour charge shall apply.
